Prior to the school coming into the current form in 2004, it was running in the name and style of Maharishi Vidya Mandir under Maharishi Ved Vidya Peetham, as a part of a chain of schools of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji (Gurudev) with its national office at Maharishi Nagar, Distt, Gautam Budh Nagar U.P.
With the blessings of Gurudev Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji, the school came into being and started functioning as Kushwaha Army Public School on 01 April 2004 i.e session 2004/2005 upto class 8th after taking affiliation from Anglo Indian Society , Lucknow. Subsequently N.O.C for affiliation to C.B.S.E for Secondary Level was taken from Government of U.P in 2008 on the basis of which the school was affiliated to CBSE .
First batch of 4 students appeared in board exam in 2009-10 and second batch of 6 students appeared in 2010-11.The highest percentage secured was 92.2%.
The school has now been upgraded to Senior Secondary level w.e.f 01.04.12.
Besides pursuing for academic excellence KAPS aims at working for all round development of children. We want that children develop socially acceptable habits, skills, attitudes and pattern of behaviour. They develop conscience, sense of morality and spirit of service to the Community, Nation and Humanity at large, develop pride in Indian culture, and practice “Sarva Dharma Sambhava” universal brotherhood.
